Hi! My name is Damon Krane, and I’m running for Athens City Council in the November 2, 2021 election as a progressive independent.

I’m a working class renter, freelance journalist, democratic socialist, founding member of United Athens County Tenants and Athens County Copwatch, and a dedicated community organizer with 25 years of experience leading grassroots struggles for social justice and winning positive change. Creating a more just and equitable world has been my life’s work since I was a teenager.
